Conceptual refreshment of Ljubljana’s center

Slovenska cesta 2020

10 December 2012

The Ljubljana Architects’ Association and the City of Ljubljana invited four recognized architectural studios to present their solutions for an urban-planning and architectural renovation of Slovenska Street, including SCAPELAB and ARHITEKTI DOBRIN.

On Tuesday, 6 November 2012, at 6 pm we would like to invite you to join us at the Kresija art gallery in Ljubljana for the opening of the exhibition “Manj prometa = več mesta” (Less Traffic = More City) and a discussion on the future of the main thoroughfare through the city.

The exhibition presents the proposals and opportunities offered by closing down Slovenia Street. With these Ljubljana obtained guidelines for further development of Slovenia Street and expansion of the range of activities in the city center. Therefore, this exhibition invites all of the city’s residents to think about the opportunities offered by the urban environment. Based on prior analyses, an important debate is opening up in the professional community and the general public that forms a favorable basis for successfully realizing projects.

The exhibition is open until 1 December 2012.

We will also be happy to receive your opinions and suggestions on the Facebook profile of the Scapelab design studio.
